DDR Wii - 3 Great Workout Tips

If you are looking for a fitness game to go with your gaming platform, you should consider DDR. Wii is my platform of choice. If you do not know what DDR stands for, it is Dance Dance Revolution. I prefer Hottest Party 2 because I really enjoy the music so I wind up dancing longer. This means I get a longer workout. There are a few things you can do to streamline the workout.

Play in Workout Mode. If you use workout mode, you will get to dance to six songs in a row without having to do anything in between songs. Many people complain about the amount of time between songs in "free play mode." By playing in workout mode, you can dance to six songs before having to do anything with the Wii remote.

Set Your Targets. After selecting "workout mode" you can choose whether you want to burn a specific number of calories or workout for a specific length of time. In either event, you can select the exact amount of time or calories. So, for example, if you have 17 minutes to workout, you can choose exactly 17 minutes. Of course, setting up the game play will take a minute or two by itself

Choose Your Songs. You can select which songs you want to dance to by editing the "course music." This allows you to skip the songs you really do not enjoy. It also allows you to change things up periodically. There are only a limited number of songs and anyone can get bored after a while.

I shoot for 5 days a week of DDR. Wii is great for getting me off the couch.

If you are interested in purchasing a copy of DDR - Wii or any other platform for that matter, you can find it at some of the lowest prices anywhere.
